Form over function By: MarkN, on December 16, 2017 Pros: Cons: "Well, it looks good but I guess that’s where it ends for me. There’s no cancel function do you have to allow the timer to run it’s course and get your toast out before it’s burns. The mechanism to raise the toast isn’t that sophisticated and the crumb tray isn’t a very good example of quality manufacturing. Essentially it’s form over function, the form is very good, the function isn’t. |

Not user friendly! By: mintymoor, on November 5, 2017 Pros: Cons: "Weird toaster. You can't cancel it or turn the timer down if you decide its wrong or too hot! There is no cancel button! You are meant to turn the timer dial down or to zero - according to instructions but this will clearly break it! You have to unplug after every single use according to instructions - because no proper on/off button i assume. All very cumbersome and odd! Noisy too! |

Lovely, but... By: Gadget Girl, on October 16, 2017 Pros: Cons: "This was a lovely toaster but the slots are not long enough or deep enough for my home-made bread without me cutting the slices in half, so I had to return it. I was disappointed to do so as the two things I liked most about it were (1) it is made in the UK and (2) you can buy replacement elements when the old ones start to be less effective. If you only use shop-purchased sliced bread, I am sure it will be fine, though. |

Good looking toaster By: Bookworm, on August 13, 2017 Pros: Cons: "The perfect companion to our Dualit Classic Kettle despite there being more of the copper element, which is a darker colour, on the Toaster. Robustly made, small footprint and generous double slot for all sizes of bread and fillings. Looks good, toasts good. What's not to like? Five stars from me. |

The Dualit seemed to fit these requirements, and works very well, but with a serious caveat. We have had our toaster for around three years now, and the timer has failed twice in that time. This is potentially quite dangerous as the toaster is then permanently on and could cause a fire. While the toaster itself is built like a tank, the timer is a very cheap, plastic and poorly-made... |
